The situation for graffiti writers is easier in Italy than in most of the other countries: no vandal squad, no home searches, no CCTV… The city of Milan is completely bombed and the authorities don’t react. How is that possible?

Milan is just Milan, the European capital of fashion, the triumph of image. Everybody wants and needs to show off in Milan, so I would be surprised if the city wasn’t bombed! It’s a rich city which doesn’t give anything back to its citizens, it’s the city of egoism and selfishness, where everybody’s making things better for themselves and don’t give a shit about others… a lot of people decide to take something for their own, that is writers taking over walls.
